The government estimates the money lost to fraud every year is as much as 65 billion dollars. You are right, if they cannot fix the problems with Medicare/Medicaid, how can we trust them to run an entire healthcare program for the whole nation. JUST LUDICROUS. It WILL come down to a one payer system, in which OUR health will be rationed out, told what can and cannot be, and when we become seniors............let those seniors die. I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THAT. The Gov't WILL BE playing "God" with all your lives.|||He can worry about HEALTH care instead of SICK care.





We need to slow and reduce the rates of obesity (2/3 of Americans) which cost us hundreds of billions of dollars in related and completely preventable medical expenses.





We need to slow the media coverage and embelishment of health issues such as the flu and 'superbugs' to stop panic induced people from taking meaningless visits to the doctor. THERE IS NO CURE FOR THE COMMON COLD - all a doctor can do is see you and charge you.





He can establish 'best practices' or a proceedural guide to slow defensive medicine. Doctors who abide by the best practices will be protected from law suits -- malpractice insurance drops and the number of proceedures drop.
