What is your viewpoint on the immigration legislation in the news lately?

What is your opinion on the immigration legislation, and what can be done to improve the bill?|||I don't have an easy answer to that question, but I do have a different point of view that others may not have considered. In this world, we are so focused on borders and on competition with one another that we have all lost sight of the fact that we are all human. We want some of the same basic things as humans - food and shelter among them. We all want a better life for our children than we had. And we all want friendships. Rather than separate ourselves with a border between countries, why not create peace and unity with one another to our mutual benefit? ALbert Einstein said that, "Insanity is making the same mistakes expecting different results." We keep making the same mistakes and then wonder why we have war not peace and why we have hunger in this world. I believe that we are ALL citizens of Earth and of the human race. I believe that it the United States, Canada, and Mexico all shared the same borders and if we all encouraged each other to be their best, that we would ALL have enough food, shelter, and energy for all of us. But so long as we are dependent on the US government for help by legislation on creating a barrier from one another, that we will stay hungry as a species and also have a hard time with shelter and energy. Rather than competing against one another for energy and shelter, why not invite eachother into our homes and break bread with each other and drink strong coffee? I may not have a popular point of view, but I do sleep very good at night being at peace with those around me.|||Congress ,especially the dems missed the whole point, you have to CONTROL the border before a piece of paper is worth anything.

1.control the border

2.give all aliens ,90 days to register

3. pick the ones you want to stay

4. throw the rest out|||It's a total sellout of America. Cost: $2.5 trillion to the taxpayer. This bill would bankrupt the nation. Four hundred thousand guest workers every year to enter our country, take our jobs, suppress our wages, and burden our communities. It's time the peole of these purported "third world countries" did something to improve conditions back home. Revolt and get rid of their corrupt gov'ts that is sucking our foreign aid. With that, we can help them. We simply can not house 30 to 40 million new immigrants every few years.|||Both parties are selling out, just for political gain. I suspect this one will hurt both Dems and Reps. Only way to make that point though is to vote for an independent.

Fix the borders first! You can't fix a plumbing leak until you've turned off the water.|||Friends Every illegal immigrant / intruder is being used exploited by the builders, employers and even individuals like us in USA and the reason being the cheap labor.

Those guys men and women both work hard twelve hours a day, make more money and save more than a US citizen whose salary is equal to their earnings before paying taxes.

Now Just think, what will happen if we send all of them who are in Millions out of US? Can we manage without them?Who will do the construction, labor and agriculture? Do you have enough citizens or registered immigrants to take up that burden? It might increase the cost of every thing if we do so.

Let us think other way. If we legalize them, we will sqeeze them out to pay taxes as we are squeezed out, which shall fill US Government treasury.

In fact these illegal immigrants themselves does not want to get the citizenship to avoid paying taxes. They want to enjoy out of the earned money in US at their own countries. Any way US Hospitals are forced to treat them, they enjoy the luxuries here at the cost of the tax payers. Why they should worry?. While the citizens and tax payers are worrying getting insurance and run into credits to pay their medical bills and pay their income tax .

So play smart, impose fines to compensate for their not paying taxes for all those years of their illegal stay and earnings by awarding legal status or kick them out.

I understand the hardships and the process the honest persons encountered in entering USA and obtain legal status to take them towards citizenship. Do we had the guts to enter in USA illegally?

By the way I am not the illegal immigrant and I am not advocating myself..|||I find it really funny that no one who complains about immigration ever mentions what native tribe they are a part of.
